This was opened, and plastic holding the wooden boards was removed. The commitment to completing this puzzle was far too great for the recipient, so it was never started. It is missing the wax and sandpaper, but I have replaced them (not shown in photos). All 855 pieces are intact, never removed from the boards, with the full instruction guide.
Once assembled, a little Disney Magic (your fingers) turn the turret to open the gate and reveal the secret hidden room.
There is wear on the box from storage, but no damage whatsoever to the contents. Stored indoors with climate control, the wood is in perfect condition, not swollen or brittle. It is essentially "Open-Box" brand new.
Some would say this is the Holy Grail of the collection, and perhaps 3D Wooden puzzles as a whole, and I agree. For those with experience in this hobby, I am happy to say that there is no rubber band driven mechanism, only gears.
I am listing this as a collectible, the only one for sale across the web.
